Atikokan Intergenerational
Centre for Arts
& Alternatives.
During our strategic planning session with Quetico Centre, we split our goals into four categories:
- Visual Arts
- Performing Arts
- Children's and Youth Programs
- Health and Wellness Programs
It is our goal to become the Art Centre of Northwestern Ontario, Canada and eventually the Art Centre of the world!!
Mandate:
- To enhance quality of life for entire community
- To build self-esteem through expression
- To increase our communities creative exposure
- To develop talent and social well being through artistic and creative activity
- To encourage positive interaction with peers and with other generations
- Honour local talents and abilities
- To increase community identity
Mission Statement:
Our purpose is to develop the inherent creative expression of our community. We do this in a family oriented, intergenerational environment that fosters healthy lifestyles and shared artistic expression.
